Bodies By Motivation is run by Richard Gonzales, an ISSA Certified Physical Fitness Instructor.
Richard started training in the 1970’s. He Joined the U.S. Navy, here he continued to train and assist others in their training. Once he was honorably discharged from the Navy, he worked in the Construction industry for a few years. As you can imagine this field alone kept him in pretty good shape. He was hired on to the Las Vegas Metropolitan Police Department.
During his career as an officer he was certified as a Lead instructor for the department, specializing in tactical, hand to hand, and physical training. Richard went on to become a Sergeant and during this time wrote many programs to assist the Department in meeting its Mission Goals. Richard retired in 2010, and took a little time off, but as many do, he watched himself and many others in the United States eating it self into obesity.
In 2012 he decided to get back into shape, and earn his civilian certification through the International Sports Sciences Association in Physical Fitness. He continues his education, now incorporating Nutritional health along with the physical aspects of a healthy life cycle.
He takes pride in his unique and effective methods for achieving healthy goals. Sarge trains individuals from 14 years of age with his most senior individual being 84. One of his primary goals is to make sure you live the healthiest life possible. Some people might have a simple goal of getting up off the floor, which has been the cause of death for many people. Falls in our elderly are so common, and he feels this is a serious concern in today’s society. In his time he has had many clients that have made amazing steps towards a healthier life.
He Manages, Trains and competes with a Power Lifting Team called “Pink Thunder”. The individuals on this team currently hold 9 New York State Records, and 2 World Records in Power Lifting Competition.
He Currently is the Recipient of the Red Cross’s “Service to the Armed Forces Volunteer Award.
