The mission of the Phelps Business Development & Tourism Council (BDTC) is to develop and implement a realistic and sustainable strategic plan that will allow the community of Phelps, New York to maintain its character, while taking advantage of its heritage, natural assets, talents and location to become an integral part of the economically robust Finger Lakes region.
The council will also oversee the coordination of the plan’s actions, ensure cooperation between organizations and agencies and implement this plan. The council will also make sure that the plan continues to evolve as circumstances change.

The Harvest Festival
We're proud to annually support the Phelps Community Center’s Harvest Festival, where we distribute free cider, donuts, and promotional bags. Participation is encouraged, and businesses can add their promotional items to our bags by contacting us. It's a great opportunity to both support the community and promote your business.
Phelps Sauerkraut Weekend
Each August, the BDTC proudly supports the Phelps Sauerkraut Weekend. Again, this year, we will be staffing headquarters.
Susan J Lanse Scholarship
Annually, we have the privilege of honoring an exceptional Midlakes High School graduate with the Susan L. Lanse Scholarship. This $500 award recognizes the student's outstanding achievements and is designed to help support their future educational endeavors.
