The pickled cabbage once produced in this small village, causes a stir amongst the locals, who compete to create the best sauerkraut-based dish and decorating a cabbage head.
And, no one can miss out on the annual "Cutting of the Cake" by the Prince and Princess.
The former home of Silver Floss Sauerkraut factory sponsors such events as Kiddie Night (with rides and games), raffles, fireworks, a parade, an arts & crafts show, and a 20K race - the winner gets, what else? A can of Silver Floss Sauerkraut. What a befitting trophy!
