Although you could drive right through when traveling Rte. 96 and miss us… Phelps, NY is a great place to live because it provides the best of both worlds. We are within a reasonable driving distance of major metropolitan areas (Rochester, Syracuse, and Ithaca) yet far enough away to provide residents with a small community. Just like the theme song for Cheers, people choose to live in Phelps because “sometimes you just want to go where everybody knows your name.”
