Breast Health Basics Virtual Workshop: What Every Woman Under 4O Should Know

A one hour virtual workshop to answer your questions! Thursday, May 16 6:30-7:30pm

Elizabeth Wende Breast Care will facilitate a discussion via Zoom and answer questions about breast health,
including the importance of knowing your family history, who should consider genetic testing, current
mammography guidelines, and what age to begin mammography screening.

Three out of four women diagnosed with breast cancer have no family history of the disease and are not considered high risk.  Mammography has helped reduce breast cancer mortality in the U.S. by nearly 40% since 1990.  1 in 6 breast cancers occur in women aged 40-49.  Even for women over 50, skipping
a mammogram every other year would miss up to 30% of cancers.
