Town SupervisorNorm Teed |
Norm is a graduate of Waterloo High School. He and his wife have lived in Phelps since 1972.
He is the father of two and grandfather of four. Norm was the Phelps Highway Superintendent from 1982 to 2002.
He is a former President of the Ontario County Highway Superintendents Association.
Norm has also been actively involved in the family business, Teed’s Tree Service. Norm actively serves his church,
the Newark Assembly of God, as a Royal Ranger Leader and church trustee.

Town Clerk and Tax CollectorLinda Nieskes |

A life-long resident of Phelps, Linda was honoured when asked to run for the
position of Town Clerk. Originally taking office in December 2000, she also assumed the duties
of Tax Collector in January 2004.
Linda is married to David (the Village Clerk / Treasurer). She
has 1 son and 3 daughters, and is blessed with 4 grandchildren.

Doris Day Councilwoman |
Currently serving her second four-year term on the Town Board, Doris is a
life-long resident of Phelps. With a BA in Human Services, Doris is currently
employed as a Financial Case Manager at Eastman House Corporation.
A member of Oaks Corners Presbyterian Church, she also enjoys spending time with her 2 sons, their wives
and her grandchildren in Pennsylvania and South Carolina.

John Dole Councilman

John, his wife and 2 daughters have lived in Phelps for 17 years. A computer
technician for Reynolds & Reynolds of Dayton, Ohio, John is also an assistant
Fire Chief and EMT for the Phelps Volunteer Fire Department.

Jim Mattoon Councilman |
Jim is a life long resident of Phelps and was raised on his family's dairy and cash crop farm. Graduating from
Midlakes High School in 1984, he went on to Alfred State College earning an Associates Degree in Dairy Management in 1986.
In 1995, the family farm was sold and Jim took a position with the City of Canandaigua Parks and Recreation Department,
then with the Town of Victor as Parks Maintenance Supervisor.
Jim is a certified pesticide applicator as well as a certified playground safety inspector, a bow hunter safety instructor,
a hunter education instructor and he teaches first aid and CPR. Jim is married and has a daughter.

Carl Beechler Councilman |

A resident of Phelps for 30 years, Carl and his wife Judy have 2 grown children and 3
granddaughters. Previously a 10-year member of the Phelps Planning Board, Carl was
elected to the Town Board in 2001.
He is also the founder and President of Z-Axis, Inc.,
on Rt 96 in Phelps. Carl's community service activities include: Member of American Red
Cross of the Fingerlakes Board of Directors for last 6 years, Past President and former
10-year member of the Phelps Chamber of Commerce, past member of the Board of Directors
of the Smith Opera House in Geneva, and Past President of the St Francis Parish Council.
