Geneva DMV Drop Box to Reopen November 17 for Plate Surrenders and 
Registration Renewals 
Geneva, NY — Ontario County Clerk Jean Chrisman is pleased to announce that the Ontario 
County Motor Vehicle Bureau is re-opening the drop box at the County Office Building, Geneva 
NY location, beginning Monday, November 17, 2025. The drop box will be available for license 
plate surrenders and vehicle registration renewals. 
Located at the Ontario County Office Building, 83 Seneca Street, Geneva NY, (on the front of the 
building facing Seneca Street) the secure drop box provides residents with a convenient, contact
free option to complete essential DMV transactions without waiting in line. 
The drop box will be checked Monday through Friday, and submissions will be processed in a 
timely manner. Customers using the drop box are asked to use the provided drop box envelopes 
and to include all necessary documentation with clearly written contact information to ensure 
accurate and efficient service. 
“We are excited to reintroduce this service for the convenience of our Geneva-area residents,” said 
County Clerk Jean Chrisman. “This is part of our ongoing effort to make DMV services more 
accessible to our county residents.”
