Notice of NYSEG Tree and Brush Work

Published June 16, 2025

NYSEG Notice of Tree and Brush Work

Trees are an important part of our environment.

However, they can interfere with the delivery of electricity. To help maintain safe, reliable electricity service, we will soon be pruning or removing trees and brush near power lines in your area. This work will not involve the wires that run from utility pole to your house or place of business.

Ironwood Heavy Highway will be doing the work using cutting techniques recommended by the Tree Care Industry Association to promote growth away from the power lines. In yards and landscaped areas, they will chip branches and brush and haul them away. In non-landscaped areas, cuttings will be left to decompose naturally.

A notification forester from Ironwood Heavy Highway will contact you prior to the start of the vegetation work.
