7. APPROVE AUGUST 14, 2023 REGULAR TOWN BOARD MEETING MINUTES: Councilman __________, offered the following Resolution. RESOLVED that, the August 14, 2023 Regular Town Meeting Minutes be approved as written. The Resolution was seconded by Councilman __________, who moved its adoption.

12. MONTHLY The August 2023 Monthly Reports were submitted by the Standing Committees, Assessor,
REPORTS: Water Superintendent, Highway Superintendent, Town Clerk, Bookkeeper, Town Historian
and Zoning/Code Enforcement Officers for the Board’s Review.
13. DISCUSSION A) Fall Flu Clinic: The Town of Phelps will hold a walk-in Flu Shot Clinic on Tuesday
WITH THE September 19, 2023 from 10:00 AM – 11:00 AM at the Phelps Town Hall, 79 Main
SUPERVISOR: Street. Registration is not required.
B) Upcoming Shred Day: The Town will host a Shred Day event on Friday, October
20, 2023 from 10:00 AM – 12:00 NOON in the back parking lot behind the Town
Hall, off Church Street. This event is open to Town and Village residents only.

C) Marbletown Road Bridge Repair Work: The bridge spanning the NYS Thruway on
Marbletown Road has reopened for the time being, but more work will be performed
later this year to install flexible joints. The Town is in communication with the
Thruway Authority and will provide updates as they become available.
D) County Road 25 Temporary Speed Reduction: Ontario County DPW has notified the
Town that the regulatory speed limit will be reduced to 45 mph on a section of County
Road 25, starting 700’ west of the intersection of Smith Road and County Road 25 to
State Route 88. The speed reduction will continue into early November 2023.
E) County Roads 4 & 20 Road Closure: Ontario County DPW has closed the County
Road 4 at County Road 20 intersection for 14 weeks as work crews’ complete
Improvements. Travelers on County Road 4 will be detoured using County Road 47,
5 & 20, and County Road 6. Vehicles traveling on County Road 20 will be detoured
using 5 & 20, County Road 47, NY 488. Information can be found at:

F) Solar Eclipse in 2024: The upcoming total solar eclipse on April 8, 2024, is the last
great opportunity for large segments of our country to experience a total solar eclipse
until 2045. The Finger Lakes region falls in the center of the path of totality and local
authorities in the area are already preparing for the many visitors we anticipate will be
coming for the eclipse. More information will be provided as the event draws nearer.
G) Civil Service Job Fair: Ontario County will hold a civil service job fair on Tuesday,
October 17, 2023 from 3:00PM – 6:00 PM at 3019 County Complex Drive, 2nd Floor,

14. NEXT TOWN The next Phelps Town Board Meeting will be held on Monday, October 9, 2023 at the
BOARD Phelps Town Court/Meeting Facility, 1331 St. Rt. 88, Phelps, NY at 7:00 PM. The
MEETING: details of the meeting will be posted on the Town website and Facebook page with a link
to attend virtually via the Zoom Video Communications platform prior to the meeting.
